The Best and Easiest Instant Pot Chili You Will Ever Eat

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs ground beef
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 medium onions diced
  • 7 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cans crushed tomatoes
  • 4 cans kidney beans drained and rinsed
  • 4 tbsp chili powder
  • 2 tbsp cumin
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup of Splenda brown sugar/sugar blend to taste
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 small can tomato paste
  • 2 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder

Instructions

  • Press Sauté on the Instant Pot, and add olive oil, diced onions, and garlic. Sauté for about 3 minutes. Add ground beef, salt and pepper. Sauté until ground beef is cooked through, mixing frequently.

  • Add everything else to the pot, then give it a stir or two.
  • Place lid on Instant Pot and set to Manual, High Pressure for 15 minutes. make sure the vent is sealed!
  • Quick release when timer is up.  When the button drops, safely remove lid, give the chili a stir, and serve.   

Notes

Add any favorite toppings you would enjoy, like avocado, cheddar cheese, or sour cream!
